SEIKATSU SEKKEI CO. Kid’s Garden was founded by President/CEO, Kenjiro Ide, in 1999. Currently there are four preschools in Chiba, Japan (Kaihin Makuhari, Chiba Chuo, Yachiyo Midorigaoka, and Tsudanuma Ekimae). With his passion for education, Mr. Ide continues to expand their programs to include physical activities indoors and out, and programs that include the arts, such as learning to play an instrument, as he also believes music is one of the ways children can connect to the world around them. Mr. Ide believes in showing children where things come from (i.e. Where does tofu come from? What is it made of? How is it made?) and has incorporated this belief into his schools.  Many of the experiences the children have are focused around nature and being outdoors.

Mr. Ide, who always enjoyed visiting Hawaii with his wife and daughter, wanted to provide a dynamic international experience and early education for children in Japan and in Hawai’i. He established Kid’s Garden International, Inc., a private business entity, in 2015.

It is the vision of Mr. and Mrs. Ide that the children in Hawai’i, as well as Japan, have the opportunity to experience each other’s culture.  Through their Kid’s☆garden centers, the Ides would like to provide a cultural exchange program between Japan and Hawai’i.  Along with this, Mr. Ide would like to see Japanese culture and language incorporated into the curriculum at Kid’s☆garden Kahala Preschool.

Mr. and Mrs. Ide welcome you to our international ‘ohana (family) and look forward to sharing this unique and important experience with you, our families, and our community.
